Design of the new facade for Open University (Novi Sad, Serbia) included use of parametric design for creating a kinetic adaptive envelope. Hexagonal pattern divides all four sides and creates interesting effect based on level of openness.

Parameter for opening is noise level. Conceptually it is defined that on every row, 3 meters separated, one sensor is set that determines the level of  openness of hexagonal fields around. The opening mechanism works on principle of umbrella. Guide slides along linear pole and moves 6 triangular fields attached to it.
