Peabodys Coffee Shop

Description

Peabody’s coffee shop is a published project of interior design in London. It was done for studio Modourbano during university internship, and later developing into an important reference.

The most attractive part of space is “pixelated” ceiling created with algorithms. The boxes are parametrically distributed in order to create the an unique experience. Materialization in wood kept the warm and domestic character, although the shape was innovative and unconventional. Combination of shapes and material also created excellent acoustic effect.

With parametric code, 3D curves set in model were connected with extrusion of boxes. In this way, it was easy to adjust and change the shape they create. It was also easy to define positions and extrusion amounts thanks to parametric design.
